How TitleGard collects, uses, and protects data. This is a working template — have counsel review before launch.

Account details (name, email), the property queries you run, and basic usage data needed to operate the service. We practise data minimisation — only fields needed to perform a search are stored, and personal data is separated from property data.
We process personal data on the basis of your consent, performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service. Where GDPR applies, an appropriate lawful basis is identified for each processing activity.
Property intelligence is drawn from government registries, geospatial sources, and court records. We display data available in public records; full owner detail is shown only to authenticated users with a legitimate purpose.
To resolve queries, generate reports and alerts, secure the platform, and improve data quality. We do not sell your personal data.
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it.
Where data is processed outside its country of origin (for example for EU users), we apply appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfer.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based, and all material actions are recorded in an append-only audit log.
